What are the six money pots?

The PleniSeed pot system assigns every dollar of income to one of six purposes: Live (essentials), Give (generosity), Grow (investing), Save (emergency fund and future expenses), Learn (education) and Enjoy (guilt free spending), so nothing is left unassigned.

What is a worked example?

On a $4,000 monthly income using the suggested split, $2,000 goes to Live, $400 to Give, $400 to Grow, $400 to Save, $400 to Learn and $400 to Enjoy. Adjust each slider to reflect your own expenses and priorities.

Why plan for enjoyment on purpose?

Budgets that leave no room for enjoyment tend to fail because they feel like pure restriction. Giving guilt free spending its own pot means you can enjoy it fully, knowing your essentials, giving, saving and investing are already covered.

FAQs

What are the six money pots?

The six PleniSeed pots are Live, Give, Grow, Save, Learn and Enjoy. Every dollar of income is assigned to one of these six purposes instead of being spent without a plan.

What percentage should go in each pot?

A common starting split is 50 percent Live, and 10 percent each to Give, Grow, Save, Learn and Enjoy. These are only starting suggestions, adjust the percentages to match your real expenses and goals.

Why include Learn and Enjoy as pots?

Learn funds the skills and education that raise your future earning capacity, and Enjoy funds guilt free spending you have already planned for. Both prevent budgeting from feeling like pure restriction.

How is this different from a normal budget category?

The pot system forces every dollar into a purpose before you spend, similar to zero-based budgeting, but organized around six clear, memorable purposes instead of dozens of line items.
